Starting out in Las Vegas as a small special order furniture business in 1994, FURNITURE DIRECT became an American Internet sensation in 1996 when it introduced its website: FurnitureOfAmerica.com! As one of the very first furniture retailers to utilize the Internet as a selling tool, FURNITURE DIRECT was a leader and emerged as one of America’s most successful on-line furniture companies.

Today, FURNITURE DIRECT leads the way again! The current housing market in the United States and the subsequent business slowdown have been difficult for many industries, especially the furniture industry. During this time, we needed to formulate an effective strategy that would allow us to continue to serve our customers. We found the solution in a question: What could be more American than selling proudly made American furniture to countries in Asia with growing economies?

The best business decision for us and for our customers was to move our showroom overseas where the market is booming. We opened our first Asian showroom in Manila, Philippines on June 24, 2011. We are doing our part for the USA by selling American goods overseas.
